I think we need to decide on a site to install the structure in order for for us to develop a form of sort to complement the site and in-turn think of a concept. Iam all in for installing it in front of the DAB cafe. What do all of you think?

We are developing an interactive pneumatic architecture that transforms dynamically in response to context. Its air-filled cells comprise a multilayered skin that allows for digitally controlled airflow to transform the shape in realtime. Collaborators are Master of Architecture candidates working in the Computational Environments Studio run by Joanne Jakovich, Bert Bongers and Jason McDermott at the University of Technology, Sydney [UTS].

Sounds great Channa. Can you move on that by getting the dimensions/drawings for the courtyard - possibly the school has a 3d model?

I think we have decided that that will be the location, but we will need it to be flexible and not too site specific...

have we decided the perimeter of the flexibility - offset from the circulation zone on courtyard?? placed on center??
Harry is right maybe Channa can let us know what he thinks of the necessary distance from the object. in terms of circulation and access in order to avoid obstructions. Maybe also finding out more info about those flower boxes, can they be moved?...
I am chasing the drawings. will get back to you on this.
i think this is a great idea - in principle we already figured out it would 'fit' on saturday
