Modular membrane cells

Could we try to think of the structural solution as a modular, lattice structure that transforms according to the rigidity of the individual cells in a 3D spatialised/distributed way? This will bring the aesthetic away from the typical inflatable surface-based structures that are so common in the pavilion architectures.
