The outline text

Here is the current text introducing the project -- please offer your changes to me directly, and I can update this post:

// The SkinForm Project

The SkinForm Project aims to develop an adaptive, pneumatic structure that transforms dynamically in response to context.

The SkinForm structure functions as an architectural object in an urban or commercial situation, such as a busy transport stop or office tower lobby.

It creates a dynamic focal point and provides a range of information about the environment. It is mobile and approximately 3 x 3 x 3m in size.

The SkinForm structure consists of a series of intelligent air-filled cells comprising a multilayered skin that allows for digitally controlled airflow to transform the shape in realtime.

Each cell contains tiny sensors that capture flows of people and environmental data (temp, airflow, humidity) in a cumulative manner, developing a context-aware body of knowledge about a given space.

Integrated audiovisual displays concurrently augment the informational capacity of the skin.

Due to its modular, reconfigurable nature, the SkinForm technology can be applied to any variation of small to medium sized public installation situations.

It can function in commercial applications requiring aesthetic information display or as an eye-catching talking point for a social function.

The SkinForm Project is the final product of the Computational Environments design studio in the Master of Architecture course at the University of Technology Sydney.
