I was watching this recycling process today at the Tokyo fishmarkets, where each hour mountains of polystyrene are consumed in the sale and presentation of fresh fish and then thrown into this mountain. A mini-dozer then proceeds to shove the foam boxes into a processor which recycles the cartons right on location at the fish markets.

The context of the SkinForm certainly has the capacity to influence your thoughts about the interactivity of the system... Likewise, it is interesting to upturn the context itself by making an insertion that reconfigures it. On explanation, the truck endlessly jamming the boxes into a tighter circle seems purposeful, but on first arrival it is curious, engaging and thought provoking --

More Tokyo analogies and anecdotes to come. You should all keep me updated as well!
